Quilting
The Quilters started as a social gathering of women from the parish who wished to be of service to the Parish community. The group was organized by Sr. Ann Vonder Meulen, utilizing the expertise of her mother, Helen. While Helen is an accomplished quilter, the majority of the group started out as amateurs. Their primary task is making prayer shawls which are distributed to the sick of the parish by Sr. Pat.
The Quilters meet every Tuesday morning from 9:30 to noon in the Parish Center to quilt, pray and socialize. Periodically the group makes a full sized quilt which is raffled with proceeds going to groups within the parish—Tender Mercies and St. Clement School, thus far.
For further information call Janet Schwartz at 641.1529.
